Send an Ecard, Make a Difference!

Hey Crass fans! My name is Olivia and I am the writer/creator of this crazy e-card site. I launched Crass in March 2011 in an effort to re-direct my bitterness about being under-employed.

Prior to spending my days writing equal opportunity offending humor, my professional career had been dedicated to working with and on behalf of individuals and non-profit organizations that served the Bay Area’s most vulnerable communities. Now, with the economy in the tank and resources run dry, I have had to tap into one of my other talents; my talent of making sarcastic fun of people on occasions they wish to celebrate.

Like most awesome people I love a good bulimia joke but at the heart of me remains a person who strives to actively demonstrate my commitment to social justice, equal access and a clean and healthy environment. This is why, beginning when/if I ever make a dime from this website, I will donate 75% of ALL revenue generated on Crass to non-profit organizations that provide vital services to children, youth and families across the country.

Like most websites out there, Crass generates revenue when a large number of people visit the site and/or click on ads that they like. Just by visiting Crass, send e-cards and sharing the sarcasm with your friends, family and co-workers you’re indirectly contributing to amazing organizations that are making a difference in people’s lives every day.

Because of the MATURE NATURE of my comedy some non-profits have been hesitant to allow me to add their name, logo and a link to their website on Crass. While that totally sucks, it hasn’t deterred me from wanting to show them some financial love.

Each month I will post a photo of the check that I write to an organization that Crass users choose. Let me know where the money should go and so be it! This is a list of causes that mean the most to me:
